CRTV : Staff Congratulated for Successful AFCON Coverage

The 53rd extraordinary session of the Board of Directors of the Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV) has rounded up this July 1, 2022 in Yaoundé.

Cameroon’s Minister of Communication and CRTV Board Chair, Rene Emmanuel Sadi chaired the session .

Among the board members was a representative from the Presidency, George Ewane, and Okono Ebanga Serge Dimitri, representative from the Prime Minister’s Office.

CRTV’s Board Chair, Rene Emmanuel Sadi once again congratulated staff of the country’s state broadcaster for the successful coverage of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Cameroon in January.

He says CRTV’s excellent AFCON performance has birthed new partnerships. The Cameroon Radio Television recently signed a partnership with the State Broadcaster of Cote I’voire, host of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
According to the agreement, Crtv will bring in its proven expertise in order to facilitate coverage of the sports tournament for Radio Television Ivoirienne (RTI).

Ahead of the event, Minister Rene Emmanuel Sadi has told CRTV management to jealousy preserve all equipments acquired by the state for coverage of AFCON 2021.

Other issues examined during the 53rd extraordinary board meeting include ;
-production of international TV signals
-the acquisition of signals for international football competitions
-the state of equipments acquired for AFCON 2021
-Examination of financial status of CRTV and CRTV Marketing and Communication Agency (CMCA)

The midterm budgets of the CRTV and the CRTV Marketing and Communication Agency for 2022 financial year were also adopted. CMCA has been challenged to generate funds that can enable the corporation function smoothly even without audio visual taxes .
